four u.s. soldiers charged for raping and killing a 14-year-old iraqi girl

I want Americans and all the world to know that coalition forces will make every effort to spare innocent civilians from harm. A campaign on the harsh terrain of a nation as large as California could be longer and more difficult than some predict. And helping Iraqis achieve a united, stable and free country will require our sustained commitment.
We come to Iraq with respect for its citizens, for their great civilization and for the religious faiths they practice. We have no ambition in Iraq, except to remove a threat and restore control of that country to its own people.
George W. Bush (March 19, 2003)
first of all, i would like to say this is by far the worst story i have heard from the iraqi invasion. the girl died in the most brutal and horrifying way that i can imagine. no one deserves what she went through. i hope those responsible won’t be lucky enough to get the penalty, i’d rather they spend the rest of their lives hating themselves and wishing they were dead. and ofcourse, we all know how prisoners feel about having a child-rapist among them. i hope they do their part.
we have been hearing these horror stories so frequently for the past three years to the point that they no longer shock us. and that to me, is shocking. the u.s. government says they will leave iraq once it has a stable form of “democratic” government, peace and order. how can that happen when the soldiers themselves are disrupting the country and delaying that goal?
iraq is in complete chaos and it will take ten more years until things are ready to put into order. actually being in order would take several more. right now, it is too late for the invaders to leave. because if they do, civil wars will break out. and that is already starting to take up speed anyway. the kurds, the sunnis and the shi’ites will want to break off, equal opportunities in office, etc. with the troops there, iraq has underground chaos, where more light is given to suicide bombings, rebel attacks, shootouts and other forms of iraqi resistance than of the little stories of the “heroes” being everything but heroic.
so, what can possibly be the solution?

The country wears a scary look, the Constitution and the laws have become ineffective and the political arena is dominated by debates and endless battles over personal interests and everyone wants to have his/her share of cake without the fear of being questioned and out of the reach of law.
this is really serious. who are supposed to be policing these people? and why aren’t they doing something about it. obviously, these shady acts are known to all the people of kuwait and they can give names if asked. but they don’t. we are still hung up on a thing called reputation, public embarrassment, etc. this is not your promiscuous sister’s reputation for you to protect, this is our government who is playing us. and we are fools to do nothing about it. i can’t do anything about it. and probably you can’t either. the best we can do is complain to our representatives but sadly, are they really trust worthy?
little groups of government employees are getting involved and are forming up like mafia recruitments. that’s some scary shit.
is there a newspaper in kuwait that isn’t owned or controlled by some political figure? if not, there should be. we need names to be given. we need documents to be shown. we need some solid evidence so we can take them down and expose them for what they really are: assholes who love to screw with kuwait.
God bless your soul, Baba Jaber.
7 year old’s yearbook picture with photoshoped cleavage
[link]
sick bastards. what a horrible thing to do. a little seven year old girl poses for a yearbook photograph which ends up with some pervert adding a shadow in her chest that resembles cleavage.
i think the girl’s mother should persue legal action. she’s bound to win a hefty settlement since the idiot who did this must have been a dumb fuck for not thinking she won’t. i hope he goes bankrupt. at least the girl will be able to go to college.
asshole.
we are the middle child of history
in the history of human existence, we are the first generations of the middle child.
the older child had discovered fire, created electricity, developed languages, introduced hygiene, made penicillin, reached outer space and gone to the moon (allegedly) and, our favorite, created the world wide web. humans have come very far from the hunter gatherers of years ago. development was rapid and promising of better times to come. the times were better and still are due to the older child’s contributions.
today, we are the middle child of history. we have very few insignificant things to offer to the human race that are positive. what we offer are war, famine and weapons more intelligent than ken jennings. we are moving forward but we are not moving forward. from the beginning of civilization until the year 2000 a.d., was a time of great innovation and development in human society, filled with miraculous inventions, changes and discoveries. 1920 a.d. until God knows when, was the age of terrible hatred and loss of relations among the lands. what do we have to offer now? self-tanning lotion and vibrating penises.
i have no special skills to contribute. i am a normal person. i hope those who do have positive things to offer to offer it. become the pride of history. invent a teleporting device. discover the cure for aids. free the hungry. become the next generation. become the last child of history.

“israel doesn’t exist” – hamas
[link]
ok. i understand their position, but seriously. israel DOES exist it IS a country/people/group/whatever. so is palestine. the only problem here is that the assholes are not relinquishing the palestinian lands. we all know that already.
i keep thinking of this and i can’t seem to figure out a way to encourage progression palestinian-israeli relations that will finally lead to each side having ONLY their rightful share of land. asking palestine to stop resisting control and offer peace in return for land is insane. israelis will take that opportunity to do much worse than they already are. asking israel to leave the occupied lands and then having them actually comply would be a miracle.
peace in the middle east. it wont happen. sadly. even the Holy Quran says so. the day all israelis die, is the day we all face God.

this is one of the best fucking movies i have ever seen. its hardcore and intense.just like all martin scorsese movies, it is long and well thought out. the writers were fantastic. the directing was fantastic. the effects were fantastic. and the acting was fantastic, thanks to the all-star cast including leonardo dicaprio (scorsese’s man), matt damon, jack nicholson, mark wahlberg, martin sheen, and alec baldwin. the first three names i think are considered as the leading actors and the others as supporting. all were fantastic. i won’t be surprised if leo, matt, and mark are nominated for awards. frankly, i’ll be disappointed if at least two are not nominated. martin and the writers should be nodded as well.
this is no regular bad cop good cop/mafia movie. the movie is about leaks in and out of the law enforcement and the mafia. you won’t expect the ending. usually, the hero wins and the bad guy dies. even in the really really good non-cheesy movies but you’ll be surprised. and after that, you’ll be surprised again. and then one more time.
just go see it ok?
